Happy Monday! I've been obsessed with Lemonade for the last couple of days. I've drank more than my fair share of it and now I find myself captivated by shades of pink and yellow. So pour yourself a tall glass and enjoy! Hope y'all have a wonderfully creative week!!

Friday the 13th!

Today was all about work... and.... accidentally stabbing myself in the foot! Yes, it's Friday the 13th. and hopefully your day went a little better. The hubby helped me get it all cleaned up and took most excellent care of me. The original plan was to stay in bed and stay off this darned foot (have I mentioned that I'm one hardheaded woman), well that plan didn't last long. Not to worry, it's gonna take more than 1/4" of metal in the sole to slow me down. I decided that life is too short and there is much to do. Besides, there is no way I'm not going to spend time doing what I love. Inspite of it all I got a lot done... I polished some earrings and finished these hoops (20pair). 

I also sorted, photographed, edited pics, spent some time on Facebook (Beadcharmer Designs), uploaded pics to Flickr, and now here.Yep, all in a days work!

Something New....

arted with a bracelet...., originally uploaded by BeadchaJustJustJust in case you didn't know it... I'm totally in love with weddings!! They are my favorite life event. Weddings are filled with love, hope and happiness. They are what every little girl dreams about. And on a good day, I'm lucky enough to be asked to participate in the celebration by creating something special for the day.

These particular design started with a pair of earrings and then a bracelet. She fell in love with the color of the crystals and decided she'd rather have something for her hair instead of her wrist. Could I 'make a tiara or comb for her hair', she asked. "No problem", I answered. When I asked if she had something specific in mind, she said, "I trust you". Which incidentally are three of the best words you could ever say to a designer. She knew she wanted a hint of rhinestones and didn't want what every other bride could buy in a store. The combs were picked up 2 weeks ago and she loved them. When she picked them up her face lit up, she got a little misty and gave me a big hug. I think she liked them. My hope is that these, like some of the other pieces I have made, will become the something borrowed at another brides wedding one day.

So, to all my brides. Thank you, for trusting my interpretation of your vision and for giving me the priviledge of being a small part of your special day.

Somedays... it all just falls into place. Then there are days like this. I've been trying this blog post for over an hour, and nothing seems to click. I don't know how they do it. Those prolific bloggers who have the gift for the written word. Their words moving across the page like a perfect tango, in fluid and seemingly effortless daily updates. Words that transport, transfix, keeping us glued to that screen and subscribed to their RSS feeds. I am in awe of their abilities. I want to be them when I grow up.... but for now.... I will just enjoy the moments as they come.
